Further modified by myself following discussion at the last meeting. Seems like a slightly later start would benefit a few folks. So come on, get involved or at least listen in.

Happy Birthday to Sands Contest Group

The Sands Contest Group – MX0SCG – is celebrating five years of operation this weekend so listen out for them on the air. I took advantage of the lovely weather today to take a drive down to Ian and Linda’s place to say hello and scrounge a bacon sarnie and lashings of tea. It was great to say hello to the group members and to generally have a good crack.

Best wishes and kind regards to all, and Ian, you may have raised my interest in Mac’s!

Welcome

Hello and thanks for visiting our blog. As you can see from the lack of posts this is a new venture for our club and is in the process of being established. The intention is to allow club members access to the blog so that information can be shared more readily than with a web site.

We also intend to use the blog to document progress of our DXpeditions by sharing pictures, on-line logs that are updated daily and written updates for each day’s activity. We have methods of updating the blog remotely via packet radio even when we are unable to have an internet connection of any kind. This approach will be tested later this year when we visit the island of Barra in the Outer Hebrides off the Scottish coast.

Hope you enjoy our blog and come back soon.

Regards,

Paul M1PAF
