airport_1
Airport

You can get to Barra by plane with a daily service from Glasgow. The flight takes about 45 mins which is a lot quicker than the 5 or so hours on the ferry.

airport_3
Airport Terminal

The airport was visible from the cottage and about a 15 minute walk around the bay to reach it.

International Arrivals

Not that busy when we visited. Tide dependant there are just a couple of flights a day to the Island and back

runways
Runways

Once the tide goes out there’s 3 runways marked out across the beach. Personnel check the sands for debris each day before the plan lands.
